I spent part of the weekend at Da Wei's, carrying and playing with his little 4-month daughter, walking around and looking through DVD's and CD's. Then Saturday late afternoon, had to go back to Da Lin Xi Lu to meet up with a couple of family members for dinner at this great, beautiful, elegant restaurant. There was Beijing Duck, fish all pretty-like, wined peanuts, fried milk jelly with custard dip and a sweet soup that I loved.
After the meal, I went back with one of my aunt's which took awhile but it was fun to see all the sites from the bus windows. Bai Bai Jie Jie and her son (Yuan Yuan) came back a little bit after us and it was so great! I'm very close to Bai Bai Jie Jie as well as Yuan Yuan and no matter how long I haven't seen them, it's easy to talk and be around them. Yuan Yuan is so cute; was so happy and excited to have me there!
Sunday, Bai Bai Jie Jie and I looked online at rings (we have different tastes in jewelry) and shoes (almost the same taste =) then took a walk for awhile. I love chatting with her, telling her about my life and getting advice from her. Showed her a pic of MS and I and she could tell that he likes to joke around with me, that he cares about me and is kind. She said that he's the right one for me now. I hope so, because sometimes I have my doubts (It's harder than expected to keep in close contact with him when I'm in China because of the time difference and because he's a work-aholic)... Sometimes I think I'm too high maintenance, too emotional, too romantic for him...
Anyway, when I let her see a photo of one of my exes, she only had one word for him: Handsome and she could tell that he hurt my heart (all true). And this is before I told her anything about him!
Sunday evening, we all went out and I got to meet Bai Bai Jie Jie's fiance. He was really nice and I liked him. Could tell he really loves my cousin as well as little Yuan Yuan. We went out to eat-- Everything came on a skewer. Chicken, beef, lamb, potato slices, mushroom, corn, cauliflower, etc and nicely seasoned. After eating, we walked to Shanghai Railway Station-- Really clean and wonderful looking.
Next day I spent some time with one of my aunt's... The one who doesn't nag, irritate me (unlike my mother and Bai Bai Jie Jie's mom) I watched some horribly made silly horror movie and later on went to Zhen Zhen's place for dinner. I enjoyed the mini nectarines the most.
Soon after eating, we walked to the subway station. Along the way, the streets are covered with vendors selling jewelry, makeup, clothes, DVDs and CD's and so much more. I bought a couple of CD's -- I found Westlife, LeAnn Rimes, Shakira ("Hips Don't Lie" is on it which is all that matters to me), Boccelli, new Backstreet Boys (now 4 members). Also picked out Christian Dior J'Adore perfume-- Light, flowery, sweet.
So, it's Tuesday now and chatted with MS for a bit but it wasn't long enough. I'll just try him tomorrow again. Anyway, about to go out with another of my cousin's to karaoke!
