I went out for BBQ dinner at Hill Country the other night. It was with a large group of people, so I knew maybe half of them and met the others. I was quickly enamored with the tall, blond hair and light blue eyed boy from Nottingham, England. Obviously, the British accent made him that much sexier. I was able to start talking to him before sitting down to dinner, but unfortunately wasn't able to sit next to him during the meal. He was seated one down from me. I still managed to chat with him quite a bit even though it wasn't the most opportune seating arrangement. He very recently moved to NY and is settling in well, it seems. He's seems very intelligent, and active.
As for the food, it was pretty good. I shared a large meal with MZ, getting Texas toast, brisket, chicken, ribs (my favorite), and the sides: corn pudding (ooh so good!) and mashed yams. Also got to try some of C's mac and cheese. I also ordered kind of expensive lemonaide, but at least it came in a huge cup. Still. We even got dessert at the end: Blue Bell ice cream. MZ only wanted vanilla, but I preferred triple chocolate so she agreed to do half and half. However, there was much more vanilla than my flavor so that kind of pissed me off.
After dinner, we went our separate ways depending on where we had to go. N, the guy from England ended up walking with this one girl because they lived close together. Damn! I went with B and learned that he thought N was really cute too, subsequently learning that B was gay which I hadn't known because I have no gaydar. Even though I knew he was in fashion and all that.
