College Friends
*Are more that I've made but haven't updated since last school year!
Sam: I met him through Jennie, and he's great. Not as crazy as Mahmoud, or serious as Mike. I've gotten closest to him and can talk to him about all sorts of things. He's leaning toward Chemistry major because he wants to apply it to Food Science.
Junior Sam at Cowell: He shares the same birthday as me and seems like an extremely intelligent, nice person to be around. Is a politics major, but also likes history, literature and philosophy.
Ben: He acted like an insensitive jerk when I first met him, but he's shown that he can read emotions and feelings well and he's funny too.
Nathaniel: Met him at College 8 Dining Hall and I added toppings to his sundea.. made it better! He's a good guy. I like talking to him.
Matt: Someone I realy got along with right away and I love talking to.
Eric: Matt's roommate, he's also cool and is very caring.
Korean John: Very crazy, obsessed with Finding Nemo and easy to talk to.
Chinese Jon: Interesting individual. There's something I really dislike about him, but overall I find it incredibly comfortable to talk to him about many things. Edward: I feel pretty comfortable talking to him a lot, but lately he's been joking around too much.
Dylan: I don't see him too often, but it's great when I get to. I like chatting and hanging around him.
Peter or Pete: I don't know him too well, but he's into music and thinks I mumble all the time. Not true!
Aide: She's a really cool person and it's always good to see and talk to her.
Sarah: Met her during the retreat and she's an emotional, sensitive and great person.
Amy: I know her through the retreat as well, and she's very sweet.
James and Edwin: Retreat guys, they're both wonderful people and I really like talking to them, especially James.
Mahmoud: Pronounced "Mock-Mood;" it's a hard "h" sound. What can I say, he's absolutely hilarious, outgoing, jokes around, and is a fun person to hang out with. We tease and make fun of him a lot, but he's pretty darn smart and nice to me too. He's really into planes, and politics.
Mike: This is Mahmoud's roommate and he seems pretty cool. He's really mellow and has a straight expression on his face a lot of the time, like one of those London guards. But there's a lot under that quiet exterior. He's into cars.
Vilma: Just an all around good person, and has an active imagination. She's thinking of getting into the Medical and Education fields.
Janine: Really sweet individual, and enjoys talking a lot. She's fun to be around and thinks of others. She's planning to do psychology, with perhaps a literature minor. We're going to buy each other's books!
Nataly: Met her in my Core Class and I really enjoy talking to her.
Agnes: Just started hanging out with her a bit more and she seems like a really nice person to be around.
And MORE!!!!!!!! =P High School Buddies
Kevin: I'm not sure exactly in what circumstances I met him because he tells me we first met each other when he went to a golf clinic (I play golf, but I can't imagine him doing so!). But I do know that we met each other in sophomore year or before that and we became especially close friends by going on the Young Life Malibu Club during the summer. I feel that I can talk to him about almost anything and even though it annoys me that he doesn't give me a straight answer sometimes or he's weird and random, he's way cool. By the way, "weird" is not a bad thing-- EVERYONE is weird. He's the one who took me to prom and he tries his best to be a gentleman. I feel pretty comfortable around him.
Salena: She's a great person who is extremely sweet and makes me feel good to see her. She's really funny and I enjoy conversing, hanging out and writing to her.
Regina: I met her through Salena and she's very nice, always interesting and I feel a connection with her. It seems like we have the same taste in guys, and I just feel that I can talk to her about that, and other things.
Cecilia: I don't know much about her, and I've never really felt I was that close to her but I don't think it's because we're both kind of shy. We've had a few serious, and good talks though and I really enjoyed those times.
Cherrie: She's cute and sweet like a cherry! A great sport, fun, lovable, and persuasive, she's also Malaysian and can speak Mandarin well.
DeVonne: He's an awesome person who makes me smile, laugh, feel better and he's really sweet overall. He just rocks!
Heidi: I have a class with her and we don't talk a whole lot, but she's someone who's willing to share and smile.
Rainer: What can I say about the "famous" (or should I say "infamous?") Rainer? He's quite a character. Hilarious, angry, verbose, rough, big, annoying, volunteer, silly, weird, innovator, and smart. I met him through Kevin and I can always count on him to make me laugh. He's not very sensitive sometimes though. I could probably charge him with battery on a couple of counts, but I won't...
Jean Paul: I almost never get to see this guy, but I love talking to him and seeing him when I can.
Renee: She goes to our local community college and after that, she plans to go to the Art Institute for Fashion Design, Animation, or Culinary Arts. I don't get to see her too much, but at least she's still around. I like hanging out with her and it seems like we always have fun.
Shristi: A very kind, loving, generous and thoughtful person, she's loved by all who know her and she is attending UC Berkeley. We'll have a lot of catching up to do when she gets back, which will be soon. YAY! =)
Julia: She has also been going to UC Berkeley and graduated from high school in the top 10 student category. She knows so much, but never brags or flaunts it and she's just a really good person. She's Chinese like me and so my parents know her parents, so they love her to death! I can't wait to see her again either.
Yining: He's a smartie who was a foreign exchange student in Germany during his junior year but now he's back and still a junior! We all think of him as an honorary Senior though. He's energetic, funny, we joke that he has little common sense, but very book-smart.
Ryan: I don't get to see him a lot but whenever I do, I love catching up with him and getting hugs. He's a really nice guy and cute too!
James:He lives in New York now but we correspond through snail mail (I don't think he has email anymore( which is cool because he writes so much and writes back right away. He will be coming back to CA for the summer so I hope to be able to see him and catch up.
Predominantly Through Snail Mail
Krissie:I found her through Carolyn's Compassionate Children which was founded by Carolyn when she was only 13-- it's goal is to connect teens with terminal illnesses with "regular" teens through the mail. Her letters are few and far between but I look forward to them and can understand that it'll be hard to write back sooner.
Crystal: She is very nice and I enjoyed getting letters from her, but I haven't heard from her for many months now so I don't know what's happening. We would write each other long letters (what other kind of letter do I know how to write though?) and exchanged gifts before as well.
Kim: Also known as KZ, she lives in Wales, and she's probably my best Snail Mail/E*friend (we exchange short emails as well). I just love her. She's a Hanson fan and adores writing and writing just like me. She's also an astrologer, makes some of her own skin care products, and gives great evaluations! She's an awesome friend and I treasure her sooo much!
Through Email
Joe: He's great at commenting and goes to UCSanta Cruz and plans to major in something computers. He's very good at explaining and summarizing. I hope to meet him when I start at UCSC, and maybe someday I'll be able to meet other email and snail mail pals.
Ellie: We've been writing to each other for a very long time. She's older than me by quite a few years, but such a dear and though sometimes it takes her a bit to write back, I can always count on getting her message eventually and I especially look forward to that because she adds different colored text and pictures sometimes. We write extremely long mails and those are my favorite! =)
Claire: She's also an e*pal that I've been corresponding with for awhile now. She's very busy, but makes time to write me and I enjoy getting her replies. She's supportive and mature. She's also extremely lucky because her boyfriend's dad owns a limo, so they get to ride in it all the time!
Zhouyou: She is my university friend in China and also enjoys graphic design. She is extremely kind and caring. A few weeks ago I got a box from her with gifts all to me! Very generous.
Tennessee Pal: Though he is much older than me, he is a very sweet person and is knowledgeable as well.
Amy: I haven't known her for too long, but so far I feel we're having fun writing to each other. We've swapped post cards and that was really fun.
Ashan: We go a ways back and began emailing each other again (we had to stop for awhile because he had exams) He knows a lot about graphic design and tries to tell me some stuff about computers which is nice. I love the graphics he sends me, even sent me one with my picture! I remember last year he was going to make me a custom graphic with a picture of Hanson I provided him, but I don't think that ever fell through.
Arlene: She lives in Ireland and is extremely busy, but a nice person who is fun to write to.
Diaryland Members
Jo: I've reviewed 80 plus diaries so far and haven't found one as amazing as hers yet. And she's a beautiful person, inside and out.
