Yesterday was a very nice day indeed. ST came by and we went to Northridge Mall in Salinas. Browsed around a little looking at jewelry, bags, shoes, etc. Then went to see Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and got some of my favorite movie snack-- kettle korn. The movie was great! Lots of wonderful scenes and much beauty.
When the movie was over, we got some pizza and I ordered an orange swirl drink-- It was delicious! After eating, headed over to ST's place and got to see some of his paintings. We watched Cinderella 2 and it was really hilarious and cute.
Had little quiches for dinner and tuned into "American Idol," New York time! That was pretty neat that we got to see it at 5p, instead of 8p. Was a good show, with the two Davids battling it out. I like both, but feel that Cook didn't get enough recognition and praise that he so richly deserved. Even though I believe Archuleta will win, I have no doubt that Cook will still get a contract and become as well known as Chris Daughtry.
When I got home, a family friend had come over so had a lovely dinner with shrimp, chicken, rice, and veggies of course.
I spent the rest of the evening at MH and BM's place. It was awesome to see them and we got into a lot of great discussions about serious issues on abortion, laws, living with your partner before marriage, mental illness and meds, fashion, and so on. MH kept making sure that I knew she was having fun and appreciated me coming over and said that she thinks I've grown up a lot and NY has donem me good. BM was really sweet too-- He made us delicious hot chocolate and Swiss Mocha drinks. He also made us quesidillas and some cheesy shell pasta and plated everything really nicely.
So today went okay. I mostly finished packing, did a bunch of errands, and relaxed.
We're leaving tomorrow morning to get to the SF airport and we're flying out to Shanghai, China in the afternoon! I was worried about how I could make calls to the US while there (to keep in touch with MS) but I think it'll be okay. We'll get a calling card in China and I'm bringing my cell phone-- Can probably insert a code and sim card and then use it? Anyway, we'll figure something out.
