Classes & Fun

So far I've attended my first three classes at NYU. Managing PR and Corporate Communications Function is taught by someone with a lot of industry experience and is the president of her own firm but it's her first time teaching. However, she's charming, tells great stories and tries her best. Theory, History and Practice sounds like a wonderful course as it seems to be PR 101. Also, the Seitel (the professor) is good natured, funny and really knows what he's talking about (I mean, he did write a book: The Practice of Public Relations.)

I don't have class on Fridays so it was nice to just relax. I stayed at the apt for lunch and had some fried rice that was very good. Later on I went to Times Square to meet a bunch of people for dinner at Havana Central, a Cuban restaurant. Since the main courses were a bit steep, price wise, I settled for two appetizers: Tamales (chicken and pork) and sweet potato fries. Both were delicious and full of flavor.

After eating, we went to the AMC to watch Untraceable and I thought it was a pretty decent movie. Extremely tough to watch what was happening to the characters, but the ending was so kick-ass!

N, DV and I went to Starbucks for a treat after the movie had finished. I got the caramel macchiato, which wasn't very caramel-y, by the way. Sigh. Anyway, we had a good discussion about movies, forensics (that's what DV studies at Pace), New York and so on. It was very cool to hang out with them.
