Thursday I went out with L, a cute Russian guy with fashion sense. We met at Astor Place and he took me to this hookah bar called Horus Cafe in the Lower East Side. It was a cosy, nicely decorated, pretty cool place. We had pretty good conversation. He's interesting, and a decent story teller. Plus he was definitely interested in me. I had a chocolate-vanilla shake then a (virgin) pina colada. Mmm. And apple flavored hookah.

When done we took a cab to Times Square, Carmine's (Italian restaurant) to meet with some of L's friends. In the cab, L put his hand on my knee, which was nice.

So arrived at the restaurant and got to meet his very cool bunch of European friends. The guys were mostly from Holland, and across the table from me was this absolutely gorgeous blond hair grey-blue eyed Dutch man but he was with his girlfriend. Ugh.

Anyway, L put his arm around me at the table and served me lobster. It was so freaking good! As was the pasta drenched in garlic sauce. And then came the amazing tiramisu dessert. Sooo freaking good!

We were the last group at the restaurant and they practically kicked us out. So we were standing outside, trying to decide where to go next. L came behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist to keep me warm. Which Mr. Dutch (who is just so beautiful. Tall, great physique, absolutely lovely!) did to his girl as well. It definitely felt nice, even though L wasn't quite the guy I wanted.

Decided to go to Joshua Tree in Midtown East. Separated into cabs. It's a cool place, with awesome music. At the bar, L continued to stay close to me- Holding me, swaying to the music, blowing into my ear, trying to get closer to kiss me... Which I didn't want to do. So I didn't let him.

After that, he kind of wandered over to the other side to talk more with the girls. I started chatting with the guys from Holland. They're very good looking, and quite charming. I really need to go back to Europe.

We left after 3a, and said my goodbyes to the boys then L and I walked to the train. He didn't say a word the whole walk there, and he didn't try to put his arms around me again! In parting, we did this awkward hug thing, and he told me to msg him when I got home so I thought things were okay. I said, "See you again" and he didn't respond. Told me to take care, then bye.

Ugh, what the hell! Is it just because I didn't kiss him? Or, did he notice me ogling Mr. Dutch? Whatever.

Friday and I've decided to take up a new internship, and leave the one I'm at- With an entertainment publicist but I'm not really doing much work for him. I received an offer from Creative Marketing, Plus and they were so impressed with my resume, cover letter and writing sample that they wrote they would love for me to join them and I didn't even have to go in for an interview! How cool is that. It literally took me 1 day to find that internship. They're an advertising and marketing agency with clients in fashion, retailing and consumer products.

I had a late lunch with NS in the Village. We went to a diner. I ordered the grilled chicken club with fries. Anyway, it was great to see her! She's one of my only Hanson-fan friends so hopefully we'll get to go to the Hanson concert at Nokia Theater in a couple of weeks. I sooo want to see them!!!! So, got to hear about her summer and told her some fun stories of mine.

Evening time I went over to MR's apartment for a night of movies on his rooftop. Stopped at the store for kettle corn, then arrived at his place and there were some people I knew (including the cute guy I met earlier this week- I got to catch up with him and we laid next to each other on one of the blankets...) and then others that I met. Everyone was pretty cool, and I got complimented on my crushed velvet dark purple Old Navy jacket- It's stylin'!

I enjoyed pepsi, buffalo wings, and the kettle corn as we started to watch the Warriors, a gang movie set in NYC during the 70's. It was my first time seeing it. I absolutely looooved it. Was hilarious and I liked that it was set in this incredible city of ours. I totally got into it, and were some cuties in the film too.

After that movie, took a break to just chill, chat, get to know one another. Then MR put in Outsiders which totally had an all-star cast. I thought Matt Dillon was oh-so-hot especially in the shirtless scenes, and Rob Lowe was mighty fine as well. So I think I paid more attention to the eye candy than to the plot, plus there was more talking and not as much paying attention to this movie.

Partway through, it started to drizzle so we had to move the party to MR's apartment. It was a nice, cosy, warm fit. I had my friends save me a seat on the couch, and that was golden. (Stay golden)

Afterwards, had a good time talking with everyone. I leaned on MR, and R called me beautiful. I love hearing that!

MR kicked us out after not too long and I walked by the fire house with D, B and C with the intention of taklking to some firemen, but the fire house was actually closed. Damn it! Ahh well, we just continued down to 42nd. Had a great conversation with C and then headed home.

I'm heading out to Staten Island fairly early tomorrow morning. Checking out this Fresh Kills Park- Will be riding to the top of the mountain which is NYC's highest point so am looking forward to that!
