Delicious Meal
kitten-kissed on February 06, 2009 at 12:38 a.m.

I had a late lunch at the Lower East Side with FF at Clinton Street Baking Company & Restaurant. It was a really nice place, and they serve amazing food. FF got the pancake special, with pear, granola and maple caramel syrup (which she shared, sweetly enough, and she even paid for everything!). I chose the grilled chicken sandwich, complete with bacon, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo... It was so damn good! As were the fries. I splurged, and got the peanut butter chocolate shake... MMM!

Also, had a great time and conversation with FF. She is a very insightful person, and great listener. She also has been through a lot, so knows a bit about men and relationships. I felt like I learned some from her experiences, and from all my stories about the men I've been meeting, she saw that I'm going through a time where I'm kind of meeting, well, jerks... (Okay, I'm not sure about BM yet but I've been trying to reach him this week, and he has called back but we've been playing phone tag and I really don't know when I'm going to see him though I wanted to this week... Ugh, hate it when people are hard to get a hold of, and a part of me knows that if he really wanted to talk to me, he would find time to...) And so, FF was incredibly sympathetic about my current situation, realizing that it hurts and it's painful but everything always balances out so I just need to be patient. Makes sense.

So afterwards, I headed off to PR in Nonprofit. There was a guest speaker, and we had to rush through the material today because two students presented so didn't have as much time. For next week, I have to gather some information about nonprofits and decide which nonprofit I want to do my final project on (a Communication Plan). I was thinking Operation Smile, or something related to the child soldiers of Africa... I mean, kids are close to my heart, and something I'm passionate about.

Right after class, I booked it to the AMC theater at Times Sq to meet with UH and a couple of others to see Uninvited. I had been looking forward to seeing that one for awhile. It was more of a thriller than horror movie, and wasn't what I expected. There were a bunch of twists and turns, which was good. All in all, pretty enjoyable.

So tomorrow, I'm meeting V at Soho so we can go shopping-- It's our assignment for Integrated Marketing (no joke!) Should be fun. Then I have to meet for my Practicum (will be doing it with two guys, for the UN) which will be good so we can get more information on what needs to be done. After that, meeting with DS for coffee and to catch up then have dinner plans (for really good pizza) with friends. Might go to Highbar afterwards; we'll see.
