Over the weekend, I went with KS to the Upper West Side. We stopped by an Italian restaurant for lunch. I got the pesto pasta with chicken. Mmm. Next we walked over to Columbia University, where they actually have a campus and it was pretty nice. Not breathtaking like UC Santa Cruz though. Anyway, we just walked around for a bit then stopped at a Coldstone for the best ice cream ever! Checked out a few really nice, fun shops-- amazing dresses that I can't afford.

Also, went to see the Lincoln Center which is beautiful! I really want to see the NYC Ballet and swooned/drooled over the photos of the male principal dancers. That same day, I found someone to go to the ballet with: It's next weekend and the program's called Matters of the Heart

I went with a new friend to Sushi Twist which was a very cool hangout place. I drank a Shirley Temple and munched on sweet potato fries. Yum! Anyway, I met a few different people. One of the guys works for CBS; another for a company that owns Food Network and so on. So it was pretty interesting.

Also over the weekend, went to the end of train 1 to take the free ferry to Staten Island with a church friend. It was a really relaxing, calm ride and could see the Statue of Liberty and all the great landmarks of NY. Very cool.

Today I ended up going to the Austrian House to see a French movie by the name of Cache, meaning "Hidden." It was certainly different and strange. There were some funny moments, lots of arguments between the main couple, a few surprises and the ending was completely unexpected and unresolved. Not my type of movie in the least bit.

We went to Connolly's (pub) afterwards and that was a superb choice. It looked classier and fancier than a regular pub and they had unique choices. I went for the sweet curry chicken panini, comprising of pieces of grilled chicken, melted cheese, sweet curry sauce, rum raisins on Euro flatbread. Oh, it was exquisite!
