I had a really great day yesterday. To start off, met with MC near Union Square to get some lunch at Friend House, an Asian cuisine place. I got the BBQ chicken with teriyaki sauce, veggies and rice-- There was so much, and quite delicious! I enjoyed talking with MC as usual.
After my interview, I met with MH in Midtown. We went to get ice cream sundeas at Baskin Robbins. I swear, I barely got any ice cream-- Too full of toppings. Anyway, I always like meeting MH one on one and would like to do it more but she's busy as a lawyer, organizer and now with a boy. But she's great to talk with, and was the one to say I should call LA because what is there to lose, even though he should've called me by now. So I still haven't contacted him...
Went uptown to meet KT who had extra ticket to see "The Colbert Report" I hadn't seen her in a few weeks, so it was wonderful to catch up. She's all into playing poker, while when I lead the discussion it's about boys. But that's okay-- We just have different concentrations. Anyway, we were on Standby for Colbert tickets, and we just made it. Finally got to be inside, but were stuck in the waiting room with 100 or so others, and I totally fell for one of the guys sitting near me but didn't get to talk to him. Sigh.
So, got into the studio and KT and I got the last seats! It was such good luck. The guy who got us pumped up before the show was really hilarious and of course Steve was totally awesome. He's so freaking funny! We got to ask him questions before the show, and when he's not in character. And the show was great... Steve made a couple of mistakes and just had to keep laughing. Plus, the Queen was here and she knighted him after he signed the contract about eliminating nuclear weapons. Too much!
After "The Colbert Report" KT and I walked a little to find a place to eat. We decided on Iguana, and shared appetizers: crab quesidilla and nachos with chicken. It was pretty good, but not that good for the price. Grrr!
