So last week I hung out with N. We went to Hoboken, NJ and I got to see his apt. It was very nice and we went out to get pizza then rented Waitress to watch at his place. Truthfully, the movie wasn't that great and N sat really close to me, which made me uncomfortable. And, being me, I didn't say anything. He's a really nice and generous guy; I just don't like him in that way.
More recently (Friday), I met up with C, who I had met at Villa Pizza on 42nd. Again, he seems to be a nice enough fellow and kept saying that he wants to take it slow etc. I just didn't like that he kept calling our meeting a date. I guess it probably was...
Anyway, we went to Hard Rock Cafe, where I picked the blackened chicken and sausage Alfredo and spinach sauce pasta. Delicious. Conversation was pretty good and after eating he took me to his place at Upper West Side to show me where he lives. After a few minutes, I had to go back to Midtown for a PR-league Networking event.
The other night (Fri) I went out to Taj for a Mardi Gras party. There was decent music, lots of dancing, and I met a bunch of people. After awhile, a promoter guy persuaded us to go across the street to Duvet, a happening club with beds in it! I was really looking forward to it but one of my new friends didn't have ID so someone asked if she could borrow mine. I consented and the bouncer really looked at it so it didn't work and they kicked us out. Argh! Next time.
After that all the girls just wanted to go home, which is boring so I stayed out with R, a police officer. We went to Tonic and had a little bit of food, listened to great music and talked. It was all right but he had his arm around me and his other hand was on my leg... I didn't really like that but didn't say anything. Damn. I need to learn how to speak up!
Saturday evening I met up with AI, a girl, so that was really good. (Since all my interactions with guys involve them wanting to date me, or whatever,...) We walked around Union Square area then went to see 27 Dresses which was free for me because she got two tickets for the price of one. Good luck follows me. So, the movie was predictable but really fun and I was in the mood for a chick flick so it worked.
Sunday I spent time with DB which was fun. We ate at a sushi place. I got the chicken cutlet and shrimp tempura bento box which was not too expensive and very tasty. Afterwards, went with him back to his place and fooled around for awhile. When night time rolled around we stopped by his friend's place to see the last hour or so of the Superbowl. And for someone who doesn't care about the sport, it wasn't bad to watch. Actually, it turned out to be kinda exciting. And I was very comfortable to just hang out with the guys and make fun, laugh, etc. It was a pretty good day...
