Hanson Concert! & This Week
kitten-kissed on October 16, 2009 at 2:13 a.m.

Just went to a Hanson concert at the Nokia Theater- Times Square tonight with DC! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to go because I have a very limited number of friends who like them but I found someone. It was great to see DC again, and we didn't even have to stand in line because my friend works at Nokia! How cool is that. The theater is a really nice space. It would make an awesome club!

Concert didn't start til an hour after the listed time and there were 3 opening acts! Sherwood, the first one was quite good and the lead singer was pretty cute. I loved his voice. Steel Train was next and I enjoyed them as well. One of the members was British- Hot! Then came Hellogoodbye which wasn't as great. DC and I agreed they were boring and talked too much. There were a couple of songs that I liked though. Still, we just wanted Hanson to come up at this point...

Finally, Hanson arrived on stage. They looked great. Tay is still incredibly sexxy, and so freaking good looking! I absolutely loooove his beautiful voice. They performed some songs from "The Walk" their new album (that I don't have). Sounded good though. And then a bunch from previous CD's which was wonderful. I remembered the lyrics, danced along, and tried to get some decent pictures. I liked singing along, especially to "Where's the Love" "Crazy Beautiful" "Penny & Me" "A Minute Without You" and then some acoustic songs such as "I Will Come to You." Of course, "MMMBop"!

Both Zac and Ike did solo performances. And Tay did most of the talking-- He's soo sweet! They think we're the best fans a band could ever ask for, and that we're badass. Sadly, they finished up way too soon, but came back to play one more- "Gimme Some Lovin" which is a great one!

So we left the theater, and we were in the lobby where the opening acts were selling merch. I got Sherwood's newest CD and two members of the band were there so got their autographs. When DC and I were outside, we spotted the rest of the band, including the lead singer! So we went up to them, got their autographs, and a photo with the singer. They were really nice, especially the lead singer.

So the Hanson concert totally rocked, just wish they had performed even more songs!

The rest of my week- Sunday and Monday I babysat VF. Was pretty easy work, and enjoyable for the most part since I really like VF. Got to see RB Sunday after babysitting. It was good to hang out with him for awhile. We had dinner at Cafe Beyond- I had chicken quesidilla and some of his Reese's brownie. Yumm!

Monday night I met up with HV because she had invited me to a free play. Though when we got there, it looked close and turned out they had canceled the show earlier in the day. That really sucked! We walked around a bit, and got to Johnny Utah's- HV wanted to go on the bull but I didn't. She was surprised I wouldn't because knows that I'm crazy. Hah!

Left around 9p and I went to the West Village to meet with L, the Russian. It was nice to see him. He looked good- Fashionable. He suggested a comedy place, but the show had already started. Darn! Then we ended up kissing on the sidewalk. He was pretty good.

He wanted to take me to the East Village even though I like the West side better. He promised to get me a cab at the end of the night though. So I went. We had dinner at Sidewalk Cafe. I got the sampler plate of mozzerella sticks, onion rings, some fries, and crispy chicken.

I had a really good time with L. I enjoyed talking with him, getting to know him, learning about his country and others in Europe. After, he asked if I wanted to check out his place and see the balcony view because we were close by. Hmm... Even though I wanted to get home I still went with him to his apartment.

So we were standing by the door, he was kissing me and I told him I should go, to which he said "You can go" but continued to kiss me and keep his arm around me. He told me I could spend the night at his place and have his bed... Somehow he convinced me, and I was taking my shoes off and making myself comfortable.

He unhooked my bra instantly, which kinda impressed me and then we were on the bed and you know what happens next...

Tuesday was my first day at the internship with Creative Marketing Plus. They focus on Fashion and consumer products. Mina, my superior is pretty cool. We went to the Kay Unger (one of the clients) showroom and picked out dresses for a size 6 character on "Gossip Girl." We were trying to figure out which character they're for- Perhaps Georgina? So that was kind of exciting because I loove "Gossip Girl"!

After, went out to dinner at a Malaysian restaurant with P, MH, M, K and that was pretty fun. The dishes we chose- Fried tofu, crispy noodles and fish, love's nest of chicken/shrimp/cashews with fried taro netting, shrimp fried rice, curry chicken was soo delicious. I also loved the mixed fruit ice dessert- Really really good!

Wednesday was the second day of the internship. Went okay. Mina snapped at me after I did some research work saying that's not what she wanted/asked for even though it was exactly what she had asked for... That royally pissed me off!

Then I spent the afternoon calling select apparel companies to update product information for Outwear Magazine listing. Some people were really rude but did speak with some very nice and very knowledgeable folks (mostly men actually) which was great. The ones who knew the product terms for what they make such as activewear, better, performance, private licensing, etc were the best. And I found out the most optimum time to call is between 4 to 5p.

Afterwards, went to meet with IM for dinner. On the way I stopped by a shoe store and found really cute flat boots that come almost up to the knee. I was having trouble picking which color- There was light grey, black and darkish purple. IM finally came, and I asked his advice. I liked the dark purple quite a bit but IM didn't think I had enough clothes to match with it and the black looked really good, and quite elegant so ended up getting that one. Though when I got home, I found out most of my clothes go well with purple so I'm hoping they'll let me exchange it...

IM and I had dinner at Azuki, a really nice sushi restaurant. I got the salmon teriyaki bento box which comes with everything: California rolls, shrimp rolls, edemame, salad, rice, veggies, and it was all soo good! Also had really fun, interesting, exciting conversation with IM.

I'll be going away this weekend to the suburbs in PA with NS and a bunch of other friends for a retreat. Sounds like it will be a lot of fun! And relaxing.
