*living my dream life*
At Home & D'or

I had a great time last night. MG came through and met met me at our agreed place, and we chilled at the coffee dessert place for awhile to catch up since it had been a few weeks since I had seen her. I told her all my crazy stories this past month, and what else I've been up to, like school projects, searching for a summer job, having fun with friends, winning $100 AMC (theaters) gift card from the Oscar party-- So, my life isn't just about meeting guys, contrary to popular belief.

We then headed uptown, and crosstown to get to Home, a nightclub that I got us on the guest list for. We actually passed by Marquee first, and met one of the doormen, but we didn't have a way in on Thursday nights and wasn't about to pay cover so went to Home instead. We actually ran into MC and a couple of his buddies, so hung out with them. They're pretty cool people. And Home was actually really pretty inside, but MC wanted to check out another place called D'or, connected to the Dream Hotel and since one of the guys had driven, we just went with them-- It's convenient to have a car around. Plus, parking wasn't hard to find.

D'or was all right. There's a beautiful and elegant chandelier to the side when we first walk in, but when actually inside it's kind of a bare bones place, but the DJ was incredible. I loved every single thing he played, and he kept us moving. However, it was a bit loud and not too many people, so we went back to Home where it was more happening, and hopping. The crowd wasn't my favorite. Not enough white men for me, and too many guys trying to grab me. Though MC said, "Can you blame them? You're hot." Aww, that was sweet!

Stayed until around 3AM, and MC left with me because he didn't want me to go by myself to the subway. He's a really chivalrous guy, and always says good things about me. Example: He likes the way I party. We stopped by to get chicken in pita with lettuce, carrots, white sauce-- Yum! Then went to catch the 7 train, and he rode with me all the way to Flushing to make sure I got back safely. Really thoughtful of him. We had a good time talking about dating in NYC, past relationships, and so on.

Anyway, today has been pretty good so far. I went to Kimmel for lunch which was delicious: Pesto tortellini, tomato based pasta, chicken wrap, brownies, chips, great chocolate cookies and sat with a group of very interesting people. We talked about traveling experiences, different cultures, living and being in NY. It's part of the Civic Camp: Activating Social Change... Engaging Passionate Leadership, and a documentary filmmaker was the Lunchtime keynote speaker so she showed some of her work, and discussed it. Anyway, gotta get back to that...

And tonight I'm seeing MS to celebrate her birthday. We are having Italian dinner at Etcetra Etc then going to Hiro to party. I've been there before, and loved it so should definitely be a fun night!
