So today I had work at the library early morning and it was a really slow, chill day so that was cool. Kind of relaxing and I bonded with M. She made me a great peanut butter and jelly on cinnamon raisin toasted bagel. It was very good and I was done with work early in the afternoon so I could spend the rest of the day playing.
Actually not a whole lot of people were at club this week. Wonder why. At least L and CS was there. CS is really sweet. When I told him I'm leaving for New York he wouldn't stop hugging me and a pretending to cry, saying how he'll really miss me. I love it when my friends show that they don't want me to go.
So we got to the mall and decided to see Enchanted because I know it's going to be this fairy tale romance tale and I heard good things about it, even from guys. Got popcorn and some chewy sour candy and settled in for the film. The theater was pretty much packed and it was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the movie; it was hilarious and loved all the sappy love songs, looks, kisses, and dresses were amazing!
This morning I got to go to dance... Finally! The power was out so there was no music but we got through the class anyway. I took a lot of focus and concentration but we still had a great time and still worked out a lot. Seems like we're getting more advanced and it's getting tougher but I like it. Especially the new modern number that we're learning. Now that's hot!
Back home now and I made an appointment with one of the hairdressers at Artisan's. I'm going in late afternoon on Tuesday which is perfect for my schedule. I tred making some other calls to confirm rides for then next few days but they're not around. Oh well, I'm sure they'll remember ... They're both very reliable people.
I guess I'll have some lunch now and after that call Uncle Tom so I can figure out what January days are good for him to pick me up from the NY airport and to where I'm staying.
So far I'm thinking about putting a security deposit down for a furnished single room in a two-story house that's 12 minutes (on the subway) from NYU and in a safe neighborhood with shopping and grocery places; plus I'll be living with other graduate students. That sounds pretty much perfect for me but I won't send the money until I can ask her some more questions and make sure it's real because it sounds so good, especially the price.
Anyway, later on tonight I'm going with a few friends to see a concert. I think it's Handel's "Messiah"... Classical music from the Renaissance era, I believe. Should be pretty good. =)
