So, I've been back for a few days. It's been pretty mellow. Just trying to get in touch with as many people as I can for my short stay.
I spent Saturday shopping in Salinas. Stopped by Ross first, and I always find great clothes there. I got a sheer white tee, dark green miniskirt, a red/white/black busy skirt and a nice fitted red jacket. Also got a pale purple sleeveless long sweater jacket at Mix for $4!
Later, I had a eye exam at Sears with SM. It had been awhile since I last saw him, and we've always been close soit was great to meet with him again. We chatted it up, got new contacts prescription-- He's giving me a few samples and tons of solution. Plus, deducted an extra $30 from the total cost of the exam even after the insurance.
Then it was Mother's Day which was pretty nice. We had a bunch of people over for an early dinner. We had tons of food-- Dumplings, spring rolls, chicken salad, noodle salad, barbequed chicken and ribs, skewered veggies and salmon. Had our meal outside, even though it was a bit chilly and dessert was delectable: A chocolate cake with white frosting, strawberries, as well as homemade chocolates with marshmallows and nuts. Was a lot of fu to see everyone again, and heard some great stories.
CC stayed over for awhile longer after everyone had left. We went to Blockbuster to rent a movie-- I got Yes Man and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 which I've been wanting to see. The cost of rentals are exhorbitant though; freaking crazy! Anyway, we watched Yes Man which was really funny, and entertaining.
Monday I hung out with ST. We went to Carmel just to check out some galleries and shops. He bought me lunch at a cute little place. I had the chicken quesidilla, and some kettle chips. Yum! After eating, we browsed around for awhile and walked down to the beach, watched the surfers. Such great views! Also walked along to see the amazing houses.
Went to the Monterey mall after that. I met with RR to see Obsessed. I really enjoyed it. The story was set up very nicely, and I found myself getting into it. Beyonce was great! And Larter played the manipulative psycho bitch really well. And the ending was awesome.
I've got plans for most of this week. I'll be going to my friend's graduation at Humboldt this weekend, and maybe after that can be dropped in Santa Cruz for a short time. It would be nice to visit some people over there.
