Sunday was a fun day. Walked across the Brooklyn Bridge with CI and met G, E, AK, and a bunch of other people. They were all really nice and easy to talk to. After we crossed the bridge, we got a take-out order from the famous Grimaldi's Pizzeria and though the wait was long, the pepperoni pizza sure was good. Enjoyed it under the shade in the grassy park area with a view of the water and bridges. There was water crashing on the rocks-- Very nice!
Then, after everyone had left I chilled with G (a photographer), C (who I had originally had something against but that's all changed now. She's actually very nice, and helped me a great deal) and one other gal. I had to go to a potluck in Brooklyn, so they helped me find the way. At least it wasn't too far away so I just walked. Got a bit annoyed on the way, because it's Brooklyn and I always get lost in Brooklyn.
Anyway, finally got to BK's apartment and had a nice time there, relaxing on the couch and taking in the breeze from the open window, talking about cute military boys, male strippers, hot actors, movies, food, parades, and so on. I ate fruit, and some really good pumpkin pie that wasn't too heavy. Didn't stay for too long, and was home semi-early so I just watched She's All That, circa 1999. Freddie Prinze Jr. is incredibly good looking!
Monday worked hard all day, and didn't have much to eat so by evening, I had this awful headache. Still met with G, S, and L to watch Angels & Demons at the Union Square theater. It was cool to see G again, and L was really nice. He's a fun guy. He got snacks for us: Popcorn, and a red cherry slushee for me!
So, the movie was interesting. The first part was a little slow and I must admit I dozed off a bit (mostly because of that awful headache!) However, I am happy with everything I saw-- Didn't feel like I missed anything. The last half was awesome and very stimulating!
Afterwards, we headed to the Village Pourhouse. We hung out in the back part, where there was a Rockband party going on. And the singers were god-awful. They were not helping my headache, but the chicken quesidilla, and water helped. I just needed some sustenance in me. Continued talking with L... He's really cool, and is such a sweet guy!
We went to another nearby bar after that called Solas. It was karaoke Monday, but not enough people signed up to make it sustained karaoke. Still, I really enjoyed Solas. They played good music, and they had games: Connect Four and Wii. I played Connect 4 a few times with L and won everytime! He was like, "You've played this before." Duh, everyone has played this game: It's basically tic-tac-toe, but 4 in a row. I also won Wii Tennis. Heck yea!
So got home late Monday night, and didn't get much sleep before having to go to my internship today. Still, functioned perfectly well. What I'm working on at Coburn Communication: Obtaining contact info from blogs to build our client list, sending out press kits, finding a pool facility for an event this month... Ooh, I want to go swimming! And there are plenty of free pools, but most of them are kind of out of the way. I have to pick one that's a more central location.
Today after work I headed to Union Square. Went into Forever 21, and bought myself a really small & delicate heart necklace with diamond detail and some lip gloss in a heart case.
Around 6, I got a call from RB telling me he was at Forever 21-- What a coincidence! So, we finally met up and had dinner at Spice, a trendy (but not expensive) Thai restaurant. Our schedules have been crazy busy, so it has been weeks since I've seen this guy. It was awesome awesome awesome to catch up with him, sharing stories about meeting guys and living the New York City life. I feel that we are totally in agreement in many topics, and I love that. Will have to hang out with him more...
After meeting with RB, I walked over to Washington Square Park to meet with R and her daughter-- I am hoping to babysit for her next month. The daughter, V is Chinese and too cute. She's very smiley, and excitable (since I was there so acted up a little but) but very endearing and friendly which I liked. We played a fun game called Rat a Tat Cat. At first, I didn't do well, but after we played a couple more rounds, I ended up almost winning-- Tying with R. Anyway, hopefully I will be working late afternoon/early evening and the pay is not bad at all for hanging out with a basically well behaved 5-year old.
I was wanting to hang out with J tonight, but he wanted me to meet him in Brooklyn. I admit, he made it sound pretty enticing, saying we could do whatever I desire but it was getting later and I have my internship at 9A the next day. So I'll just meet up with him later this week...
Tomorrow having lunch with IM and D which is very cool. Will be fun to talk with these guys. Then, I'll have some time after work to just chill-- I'm going to read in the Washington Square Park fountain. Then, I'm meeting with MG to see 17 Again (will finally get to see this movie! Zac Efron is in it!) which should be a lot of fun, and I always love chatting it up with her.
Thursday I'm meeting HV for dinner and karaoke, which I'm really looking forward to because it's been soo long since I've done karaoke! And, will get to see J as well.
Sad that I'm not meeting with BM (we usually hang out Thursday nights), as he's off to FL this weekend so can't see him til next week which is annoying because as it is, it's been too long we've last hung out. I miss him!
