*living my dream life*
Long Day

Tragedy: Heath Ledger's Death of Drug Overdose. He was 28. So young, so talented, so much more to live for... The choices you make define you and as witnessed here, no one is invincible. May he Rest In Peace.

It was my second day at eSHAVE and a project to work on! Karine wanted me to expand the list of luxury and boutique hotels and get their phone numbers. When I had added approximately 100 upscale hotels, my next task was to call them and get the concierge's name and phone number so that we can eblast them invitations for our upcoming party at the store.

I left around 330pm and wandered around Midtown. I had a Belgium waffle at a little cafe and chunky chicken chowder from Hale and Hearty soups, which also came with oyster crackers. Continued walking and realized that Times Square is two blocks from my classes. How sweet is that?

Today was first day of classes ... Media Relations. The professor is really funny and fashionable, and is the co-president of Noelle-Elaine. We all introduced ourselves and one of the guys has a contract with Ford Models so I wanted to ask him a few questions about that, however, some blond girl beat me to it. Argh. I am so frustrated. I know I'm so dynamic, outgoing, easy to talk to in California so why has it been so difficult to find kindred spirits, especially guys to converse with!

Anyway, the class was interesting. Our assignment is to write a press release and media alert, which is something I haven't done before so I hope I can do it without much difficulty.

Renee Warren (our professor) told us about a play happening in Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon. It's Shakespeare's Tempest and apparently Brad Pitt, Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus are to be in it. I told one of my new friends about it and she's down for watching it so I'm calling the Brooklyn Center for Performing Arts to get tickets and make sure those actors are gonna be in it...

As usual, it took too long to get back but I was glad to be home. Made a call to M and she was very chatty which is cool. Hopefully we're going to meet up on Saturday and hang out at the Upper West Side. Maybe hit a museum or two. Anyway, I'm now going to read some of The Publicity Handbook.
