This morning I had an interview at Dean & Deluca (a coffee/bakery place) at University Place and 11th St. Surprisingly, I got there fairly fast and it was easy to find. The interview was just a preliminary one, so it was short but I liked KO and was good to meet her. Hopefully I will hear from her again soon.
I then headed uptown to meet PC for a day at the Museum of Natural History. It was awesome. We checked out the Asian, North American, African mammals and peoples; the Rose Center with space/universe/star type stuff; rocks, gems and minerals; the oceanic center; dinosaurs and other extinct animals; and much more. We also hit up all the exhibits (free, thanks to PC!): IMAX theater for the dinosaur show-- it was incredibly lifelike, interesting, intense, and educational. Then there was the Water: H20; the Butterfly Conservatory -- very beautiful creatures, especially the large blue ones and lastly the Planetarium with view of the stars, collisions, sun and moon formation. It was spectacular!
I was supposed to have a nice dinner with AC, but she got too busy with work so met up with S instead. It was nice: Didn't take him long to meet up with me at 14th St and 6th Av. I found a Red Mango right there so I had S meet me there and he was very pleased with the place... This time I got my frozen yogurt with mango, strawberries and blackberries.
We headed to another place for more substantial food right after. Decided on Heartland Brewery. Was decent. I picked the herb crusted chicken tenders and seasoned fries, while S got chicken pot-stickers. Very tasty.
After dinner, I met up with DS around Herald Square at 34th St. I suggested Webster Hall-- a very popular club and concert venue, but it was a Tuesday night and not open. Blah! So we wandered around for a bit and we went to The Strand (used bookstore). All the books out front are $1 each so I picked 3 fiction books and they all take place in Europe.
Anyway, we decided to see Deception at the AMC around 14th St and we hit the jackpot because Tuesday night is free popcorn night! Very exciting. The movie was quite interesting-- twisty and turny. Williams did a superb job, much to my surprise as did the two male actors. Still, there were a lot of wack things going on there... A lot of stupidity and crazy funny going-on's. I enjoyed it though and the ending was cute.
So tomorrow I've got four interviews set up and I've mapped out how to get from place to place. I'm sure I have enough time between all of them so it should be okay.
After all the interviews, I'm hoping to meet up with AC for dinner or I'll go hang out with Play-Games club folks until MS is ready to meet up with me. I just hope that he can come out earlier rather than later in the night because I want to spend a lot of time with him before I leave town.
Unfortunately, the people I'm staying with are uncomfortable with him spending the night with me so I'm wondering how I'm going to be with him through the evening because I love being intimate with him in bed, and being in his arms while I'm sleeping...
