Saturday morning I started off looking at CareerNet, Craigslist for jobs/internships in PR/Marketing and applied for anything and everything that looked even mildly interesting. And so, I got a call from a fellow UC-grad and she seemed very easy-going and nice. She wanted to meet for coffee to discuss opportunities and I knew she wanted someone immediately so I was honest in telling her about my summer traveling plans. I will keep in touch with her though, as she will most likely need someone in late summer and fall.
I met up with MC for lunch. We ate at Triple Crown. It was pretty good. I got ribs and fries. There was a lot. I did my best.
Afterwards, I went to Times Square to meet up with F. Only thing was he was late... I was waiting over a half hour. For me, 20 minutes is okay, but much more than that I get a little crazy because I cannot stand waiting. Grr... Anyway, we watched the later showing of Made of Honor and he bought everything-- Tickets, popcorn, peanut M&M's and White Cherry icee. Yum! The movie was all right. The premise was My Best Friend's Wedding except in the POV of the guy. It was kind of predictable and not as well done as the classic.
After that, I had to wait for MS to meet me and it took awhile so I watched the artists on 42nd St making people's faces out of clay and so on. He finally got to where I was and we played air hockey at Dave & Buster's. Only one game though because MS was ravenous. I enjoyed it because I totally beat him! We'll do a re-match before I leave.
We had some food at Ruby Tuesday's. I was full but had a bit of the shrimp, salad and some chocolate molten cake dessert with ice cream. I felt bad because I wasn't able to finish a lot of it.
It was too cold to stay outside for long so we just waited for the subway and went back to my place. Very nice to have him over, as always...
Sunday I met up with A and we met in Chelsea to have food at the Shake Shack (something like that) and eat outside. The line was huge but it was worth the wait and it was great to catch up with A. I got a Shackburger (cheese and special sauce), cheese fries and a black and white milkshake malt. I totally went all out.
When we had finished lunch, we walked around some then I headed to Times Square to meet with A. He is an okay guy, but I can tell that he likes me and he actually spelled it out to me as well. I obviously don't feel the same way so ...
I went to Origins and let me just say, the avenue blocks are too long! Anyway still got there in time and we sang some great worship songs. Everyone was singing so loudly and passionately. That was pretty cool. The message was also compelling, then I went to Bella Napoli for a free dinner with a bunch of members from the church. I met some other NYU students etc. The quality of the food wasn't that great but I enjoyed the camaraderie.
When that was over I just went back to the apartment and did some studying for Writing Seminar 1 final. Only one more to go! Sweet.
