*living my dream life*
The Sweetest Marines

Had to wake up early to go to Philly for the day. Overslept a little, so when I finally got into the city, took a cab downtown to ensure that I would be on time for the 8AM bus. I made it there pretty quickly, and met with G, C, A, R. We all had two seats to ourselves, so we could lounge out. I enjoyed chatting with them, and then G broke out the rum! I had a tiny bit with juice. Then, took a bit of a nap and shortly after that, were in Philadelphia!

We met with M and K then were on our way. We saw the Liberty Bell first, which was awesome. Walked around the park a little, and checked out the historical sites, listened to a story, some live music, and then strolled to the waterfront.

After that, finally made it back into town -- the hip part, and stopped for Philly Cheesesteak. I got to try the original and the chicken one. The original was better. We didn't want to do too much after our big meal (which included fries), so walked along then found a trolley. I got some cherry ice which was super cheap, and enjoyed it while we took the trolley ride. Got to see all the museums, fountains, parks then started to head back torward the bus station. Found some cool back roads along the way, and good photo-ops.

I sat with G on the bus ride back, and talked to him about boys, and a bit about my most recent past relationship. I decided to text BL, the Marine even though he hadn't called back Saturday night... He responded with a yes so right when I got back into Manhattan, got a hold of him and went to Pier 86 to meet him.

Well, it was wonderful to see him again. And we held hands under the table. Got to meet all his Marine buddies, and they were pretty cool. Especially JT (even though he was the one who didn't tell BL I had called...), J, R, and they also happened to be the hottest ones. It was great to just chill out in the outdoor bar, listen to the mellow music, get to know everyone.

We took the NY Waterway Ferry bus down to 8th Ave. I'm glad we got a ride there. Decided to go into Smith's (Bar and Restaurant) but knew they didn't want us there, because we were too loud. After MB found us there, BL tried to hustle us out of there.

We then went to an Irish pub, which was better, for the most part. It was there that J revealed that he thought I was adorable, and told me "I would hate to die for a guy like that, but it would be an honor to die for you because you are beautiful, amazing, and you show us so much support and respect. You are what keeps us going." It was the sweetest thing. So of course, I kissed him-- On the cheek!

Later, BL came back in, and took his spot close behind me, and whispered "You can try to get them off you, but it's not going to work." Haha. I loved being the only woman (that they knew, that had come in with them), and being so adored!

A little later in the night, BL and I kissed on the lips, which was inevitble. We had been flirting and touching all night. Finally snuck away from the crazy, big group and got some privacy for more making out and fooling around... We didn't have much time though, as they need to be back on the ship by 2am. Still, it was hot (obviously) and amazing while it lasted.

By far, my best night during Fleet Week was this night with the Marines. They're leaving tomorrow though. I'll miss them, and hope that I'll get to see them again someday...
