mmm good

The other night, went out with AW and L to Pranna which was a really nice space. Three floors of beautifully and tastefully decorated rooms with pretty lights, candles, and sheer curtains downstairs. Enjoyed the DJ, met a couple of guys who had a table and just kept on dancing. Even though I wasn't all that into the guys there, was still a nice night.

Over the weekend, I had brunch at Jane with A (whom I hadn't seen for weeks!) in Soho. Jane was really nice-- Large enough so we didn't have wait for a seat and huge portions. I got a chicken sandwich on ciabetta with tomatoes, pesto, and a ton of really good french fries. Also, was wonderful to catch up with A.

Then, went with RM to a BBQ in New Jersey. He had a car so that was certainly convenient. Had a good time talking with RM and listening to club hits, and poppy tunes.

And the BBQ itself: Sunshine, cool people, good music, lawn seating, fun conversation, jello shots with whipped cream, sangria fruit, portobello mushroom with cheese and sundried tomato, tequila lime chicken, garlic & gruyere sausage, creamy desserts, melty chocolate chip cookies, happy times...

Sunday night went with a friend to Hudson Terrace and stopped by the new Sephora on the way, got some smokey eye makeup done. Arrived at the Terrace early, so were able to get in easily. The rooftop is only on the 3rd floor, but the big window views were pretty nice-- Near the water, and the Intreped, could see the sunset but honestly it's not worth all the hype. Plus, someone could've warned us it was going to be gay club night.

I totally fell for this tall blondish spikey haired boy with clear blue eyes who was a total flirt toward this other guy... He was sooo dreamy. I wish I had met him...

Then came the go go dancers. The first one was a dark beauty, pretty boy-ish and had a nice lean body. Amazing abs. The other sweet part was when the misty fog came to fill the room with cool, cold, refreshing spray.

Tonight was dinner at Shake Shack, the one at the Upper West Side-- It's an indoor version, but still very cool. I got the shroom burger (portobello mushroom in a crisp of cheeses, lettuce, tomato) and ate it with some of the hamburger meat DH let me have. Along with that, had some concrete vanilla flavored frozen custard with chocolates and caramel. DH also shared krinkle cut fries and later the Dark and Stormy frozen custard-- Dark rum and spiced ginger beer flavor. Mmm! Definitely delicious. I'll have to come back to try other the flavors on other days...
