Need New Layout
kitten-kissed on August 30, 2003 at 3:03 p.m.

GA-Templates, Pet Alley, Diva, Lily, Daisy, Designs by Kat, Mageleted, Migraine, Lis, Alee, Lily, PixelScripts, Poo, Lex, and a handful of others I've browsed through and still not one I would use. I thought I found a promising one: a beautiful, happy glistening blue one at Designs by Kat but 1) the words though in a nice font, are too small. 2) I don't like the picture. 3) The entry has no scroll bar. 4) I think it's a damn image map again and although they are breathtaking, utterly annoying and impractical for me especially because I'm excited about all the ideas I have for extras now. And I need to be able to link them all in one page so people don't give me grief about those links anymore. And so they don't overlook some of the more important ones, like Website for English. So, I won't use that design. There's also a Reese Witherspoon desgin at the same place that I like, but the font doesn't match.

So I have to do more layout searching, even though I should be reviewing. I feel so un-appreciated as a reviewer sometimes though. I don't want to get into it, it'll only make me more upset, angry and basically unwilling to review anything. Which is not something you want me to think about or feel. Anyway, I figure I should go to some of the diary designs I like best and check out who designed it, especially if I've never been to that site before. And of course I've barely dented Beautify or Frozen-Kiss.

I could ask for a custom, but to be truthful I don't have a concrete idea of what I want for my diary. When I see it, I'll know though. I love brushes, swirls, hearts, scroll bars, gorgeous pictures and fonts, and easy navigation.

Why don't I make my own layout? I should know how to by now right? Not quite. Though I have learned a little more HTML and have graduated from HTMLGoodies [but they only have a few lessons and are very simple, so not a huge accomplishment or anything to be proud about.] I still don't know enough to make a layout on my own. I know, I know, it's pathetic. But I could try. I mean I have been looking at sources for other sites. Some of them don't look that difficult to make. They just take time and some more research on my part. I need to find the perfect picture and in the right size, as well as a dreamy color combination. It would be a good experience.

But I think for now I think I want to find one. There's one type of design that I really like and might get someone to help me with when I find the right background color and photo.

If you know of any design site that I have missed and would like to help me in my quest for the perfect layout, do get in contact with me.
