*living my dream life*
New Year's Eve!
kitten-kissed on January 01, 2008 at 2:04 a.m.

I spent the day with IS and it was great. We had lots to talk about, to reminisce about, to share so there was always interesting conversation. We went to the wharf, downtown and ate at a gyro place, then to the mall and caught The Water Horse which was a really sweet movie. It was cool to see the creature's growth and the legacy that Angus (the little boy) helped build. Also, there were amazing views of Scotland... Such a beautiful, wide open spaces land!

IS left before I met up with CS and D at the Indian Summer near the Wharf and downtown. They had cherry-mango flavored hookah and it was actually pretty good. I was in high spirits and feeling in a happy mood which was just right for new years, of course.

CS busted out his new guitar and played some fun songs, which grabbed the attention of a young couple nearby. K was the most gorgeous blondie with legs that went on forever and wicked red heels and she was such a sweetie! We discussed the East Coast, shopping, barhopping, ex boyfriends, and getting guys to buy us drinks. She gave me some tips for NY as well.

We left after not too long to try to find a place selling alcohol that was still open. We didn't have any luck but I didn't mind because I've sworn off alcohol. Back when I did drink, it wasn't very much and it would make me feel not so good so I don't risk it anymore.

So we just roamed around on the Wharf and CS got his face painted as an evil clown. People really dug it though and gave props to his face. CS was walking really fast though, but D stayed beside me, keeping me company and chatting so I was thankful for that. Anyway, we were hollaring, yelling, screaming, ... generally making a whole lotta noise and made sure other groups got rowdy as well.

We were there at the plaza when it was the countdown to the new year and it's just little ol' Monterey so not as exciting as a ball dropping, but there was lots of confetti, noise and sparkles. I received a bunch of messages from good friends, so that was pretty cool.

After that we walked around some more and then waited for one of CS's friends to pick us up so I could get home. They finally came and it was good to meet them but they just wanted to get drunk and I would've hung out longer but I knew there would be no designated driver so I had to be sent home first. Awwww....

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hell yea to 2008. It's gonna be amazing:
525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love?
How about love?
How about love?
Measure in love.
Seasons of love.
