Nice Things

Been having fun times and lots of compliments!

Wednesday night I opted to see a free movie screening with MS and a bunch of people. I got along with two gals really fast and they were a lot of fun to chat and giggle with. The movie we saw was called Women in Trouble and it was about several different characters- Porn stars, a mother, a precocious daughter and so on. Quite funny, crazy, silly, and interesting.

We went to Patsy's Pizzeria afterwards-- Nice restaurant. I wasn't that hungry, but I still tried some of the chicken pasta which was delicious! I wanted to hang out afterwards, but everyone except MT went their own way. He agreed to come back with me to Flushing and get some bubble tea. He's a really funny, nice guy. I enjoyed chilling with him. I got the strawberry smoothie which was soo good! Also, some sticky rice with shrimp, pork, sausage wrapped in big leaves-- Yum!

Thursday was fairly busy- Had two interviews and two castings calls. I met with JS, an independent entertainment publicist based in Brooklyn who works with an author, actors, bands and a restaurant. I would be helping him with phone calls, research, responding to emails, writing, events and he lunch would be paid for and there's a possibility of a stipend a month in. It sounds like I would learn a lot, so will probably take this internship.

I auditioned for an acting agency-- Had to read a monologue and answer some questions. They were really welcoming and made me feel at ease. Later, I went to a model casting and don't think I did as well in that one.

Afterwards, headed to the fountain at Washington Square Park and just relaxed, chatted with GC for awhile. It was great to catch up. Then I went to meet AB and some of her friends at a nearby apartment. They all seemed really cool, and fun. And I love hanging out with AB- She's hilarious!

We met M at Wicked Willy's, the karaoke bar. I always have a good time there. After a little while, a couple of guys started talking to me... The first one was really easy to converse with and kept complimenting me, called me beautiful but was conscious of not messing up my game with other guys.

I met a guy who claimed he just signed on with Atlantic Records-- he sang some funk to me and he sounded good. Am not sure if I believe he's with Atlantic, but if that's the case-- Pretty awesome. He kept saying I looked good, and saying that I have a boyfriend because I'm so hot. I kept giving him signs that I liked him though-- Placing both hands on his hips, moving closer to him.. We exchanged numbers and he'd leave then come back to talk with me. Then he said he wanted to see me naked tonight-- Wow, that's really forward and I didn't want to go back with him and he said I played him the whole time. He basically said he wanted to hang out, but tonight and that he's not a boyfriend. Okay, I didn't ask him to be. After that I wasn't very keen on continuning to flirt with him and he kept mentioning that I was talking to other guys. Well, he's quite the player as well!

I actually noticed two guys that I had seen last time. One of them was really into me, but I didn't like him back and he was trying to get really close which I didn't like. However, I was into his friend who is the best dancer ever. He knows how to spin me around, hold me close, step and all that. I just wanted to keep dancing with him, plus he kept saying "I love you" and even though I know he can't possibly, I still liked hearing it...

So my friends left earlier and I ended up going back with the guy I first talked with, back to Solita- a hotel in Soho. I was really only going because he said I could crash there since he found out I lived so far out. I actually wasn't in the mood to do anything; I just wanted to continue talking to him. He just seemed to really take an interest in me and listened so intently, and it felt really nice.

So we were under the covers in the highly air conditioned room, and chatting, and he said "You're perfect." He put his arms around me, and we spooned awhile then said he'd leave me alone. Except that I didn't want him to... so I just said "I'm bored" and bam, we started, well... you know.

In the morning I called the acting agency, and the lady said I was a good type and that they can definitely use me. Plus, the gal who interviewed me said I had a great personality! Now I need to get headshots and drop them off at the office. I'm going to try to find a cheap way to get them, but in the meantime I'll use an older picture and hopefully can work something out with some photographers I'm in contact with.

Friday was date day with ME who used to be in the Air Force, and was based in Monterey for a few months. He's cute, tall, very fit and interesting, intelligent... We went to the Museum of Natural History and did one exhibit: Extreme Mammals, which was pretty amazing. We sweetly held hands at times, and then we went to Hell's Kitchen for dinner-- Thai food. Delicious.

After, I was supposed to meet with J at Fashion40 lounge. It was nice, and great music but J was running late and I didn't really feel like waiting so ME and I decided to see a movie. He convinced me to give Inglorious Basterds a chance, and I'm very glad I watched it. I sat close to him, head on his shoulder, hand in his and before the movie started, chatted with the guy next to me (who's also an actor) then felt bad that I wasn't focusing on ME so returned my attention to him. Anyway, the movie was awesome! It totally kept my attention, really funny, great moments, soo many hot guys (in uniform-- My weakness, of course) and intrigue, good dialogue, and great acting.

We walked around awhile after that, while holding hands and just talked some more and then he left before midnight, giving me a lovely hug and sweet little kiss.

Saturday I met with AN and a couple of others for Indian food in Jackson Heights. I got a chicken kebab roll which was quite filling, and decent. Also tried a couple of little dishes, but really enjoyed the desserts-- Pistachio ice pop, fudge, milky pistachio which was very good, mango, donut hole, and more sweet flavored treats. Mmm!

Also went to a free concert with RG, at Domrosch Park, around the Lincoln Center area. It was great to see her, and it was nice to catch up some. Also, the performers (two of them: Lizz Wright and Allen Troussant) were amazing! Lizz had a beautiful, sultry, sexy voice and did many slow kind of love songs. And Allen was more upbeat, active, jazzy, fun and I enjoyed both.

Afterwards, I headed to the Upper East Side to meet with BD whom I haven't seen in forever! It was great to hang out with him, and nice to meet his new roomie-- She was cool. We were at a karaoke place, which was fun and chill. Then we went to get a bite to eat at Brother Jimmy's-- I got fries with cheese and bacon. Totally hit the spot.

Sunday was a pretty good day. I went into the city for lunch at a Vietnamese place with AN, S, and a few others. This was a very fun, interesting group and they seemed to like me a lot too-- S commented that I was funny. Aww! I got iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, and shared beef rolls and beef spring rolls. As for the entree, everyone else got pho and I chose the salmon with caramel sauce in a brick pot, rice and veggies. Yum!

After eating, had to meet RF and VF for babysitting at W 4th. RF had told me 2p, but by 2:30 they still weren't back but I got a hold of her and RF had me meet outside. She's paying me for the time I waited- Yay! Anyway, we stopped by where RF works. VF and I drew outside, and then we went back to the apartment where I read and played a game with VF. It was an easy afternoon.

Met with RB for dinner. He had just gotten back from visiting friends in Philly- Nice. He didn't like the town as much as me though- He thought it didn't have much character. Anyway, it was great to talk with RB and tell him what's been going on the past week.
