Nights: Enjoyed
kitten-kissed on June 18, 2009 at 12:50 a.m.

I've been out and about each evening. Exactly how I like it.

Monday was a chill day. I spent the evening in Brooklyn with TP, CM (he's pretty cool: A total jokester, and easy to chat with), and a few others. We had garlic fettucine with sauce and meat; bread and later some delicious fruit: Pineapple, strawberry, honeydew...

Then we gathered on the couch, and sang a couple worship songs, talked, prayed. Afterwards, CM taught us how to play Egyptian Ratscrew which wasn't too hard; just have to move fast. We did a practice round, then the next game took quite some time. I was out for a little bit, then got back in when I slapped a sandwich, and was in the lead until CM won. Oh well.

Tuesday I had the chance to chat with some good friends online, and got all the latest from LL about her upcoming wedding. She wants me to come, but it's in Iowa (I know, really?) because it's easier for her fiance since his whole big family lives there. So I'm hoping I'll be able to carpool with someone... It would be sooo much fun to hang out with her again, and to have the pleasure of seeing her get married!

I also got a hold of JB (someone I've been trying to hang out with for awhile) but I'm not free most nights. So he asked if I was dating someone, and I guess I can see why he might think that. He probably thinks I'm too busy for him, and I just said I'm keeping my options open so after that he didn't try to suggest a time to meet. Hmm.

I have been chatting with this cute guy who lives in Long Island. He's a private investigator, has 2 cars and 2 dogs! Aww! Hoping to meet with him Thursday.

Anyway, so Tuesday night met S, R, W, M and a slew of other people at Ippudo, a really good ramen place. It was pretty packed, so we had to wait a loooong time to be seated. To tide us over, we tried some pork buns which were so freaking delicious! Pricey though.

We finally got a table after more than an hour of waiting. It wasn't soo bad because I was having a nice time meeting and chatting with everyone. So I got the Ramen with pork, scallions, egg, and other veggies. It was pretty good, but I liked the other Ramen dish better-- It had more flavor.

Anyway, this group was great because we all talked together (instead of exclusively chatting with the people we were closest too) and had very fun and interesting conversation about dating, living in the city, marathons, blind dates, and much more.

Wednesday right after my internship I rushed to Dex Beauty for my free makeup application. The lady who worked on me was not very good. She didn't make me feel at ease, she wasn't friendly and she didn't do an amazing job. I liked the man a lot better; he actually took time to talk and had a vision for each person but I didn't have time to wait for him.

I needed to get to the Union Square Theater for the Greg Giraldo comedy taping. PM joined me in line a little bit after I got there, and then two other showed up. After awhile, we got our wristbands and were let in. The line moved pretty fast. I got to sit in the 2nd row on the far left side. It was a good view. And Greg G. was awesome! He's just hilarious. He talked about politics, gay people, sex, women, news stories, birthday singing, marriage, Michael Phelps, and so on. I definitely enjoyed myself fully.

Afterwards, I was debating whether I should go to the Highline Ballroom, all the way west because Tinted Windows is performing there (it's Taylor Hanson's new band!) However, I knew I'd get there after 9p, and there was no guarantee I'd meet the guy but it would've been so cool to see him perform... I probably could've been very close to Taylor Hanson! I'll have to catch him another time, I guess. I mean, they have to come back to New York-- It's their base.

I went with PM to Havana Central, which was very close by. I decided to get some appetizers: Fried chicken Latin Style which was very good, as well as zesty corn on the cob with cheese and seasoning. Everything was great!
