Being Out & About

Friday night I had plans with M to eat at a bbq joint called Brother Jimmy's uptown. By the time I got there I found out that M couldn't make it because she wasn't feeling well. Since I was already there, I ordered the blackened chicken po'boy and fries and figured I'd just go out dancing a little later. Besides, I liked the guy singing beautiful songs. I ended up talking with the people around me, and met three guys who came in. One of them was from England! So, I talked with him the most, met his friends, played some blackjack, danced to the singer's songs, and just had a grand ol' time. I ended up just staying there for the night and the guys were so sweet that they drove me home even though the driver was from Jersey, and they didn't know the way. It turned out to be a pretty nice night.

Woke up pretty early to meet a group of people for a Central Park walk starting at 59th st and Columbus. I'm really glad I went even though I was a little tired. I haven't really been through all of the Park so finally got to see it in all its glory. Passed the bridges, waterways, tunnels, lakes, Boathouse, statues like the Alice in Wonderland and King of Poland on a rearing horse, Belvedere Castle, stage seating, ice rinks, bike paths, and one of my favorite spots: Strawberry Fields with the John Lennon IMAGINE sign with roses on top. Soo pretty!

Everything along the Central Park walk was just gorgeous and breathtaking and stunning. Also met some really cool people. My walking buddy was a guy, D who was really understanding of me saying that I'm a strong young woman who has passion but I have a temper which I should try to reel in. And he's right about that. It's hard to control my emotions, especially when I'm angry but it's not right to just blast out on people and curse them out. And, they're not worth it for me to get all pissy about, so I've got to try to be better about that.

After the looooong walk, I headed over to Union Square and sat in the park, watching the market and then met with CM who I haven't seen in awhile. It was wonderful to meet up with her, and catch up. I had fun telling her all my stories, and we walked around, stopped by Strawberry where I found a too cute white and tan XOXO wallet (for cheap!). Then we continued walking for awhile, and went over to Saints Alp for dinner. I got the latte sorbie bubble tea, and minced pork with rice egg, and veggie. We shared the chicken yakitori. Everything was delicious! And so inexpensive. Had a really good time with CM just talking about what we want in a guy, favorite places to go, guys who like us (that we don't like back), our pet peeves, and so on...
