The other day I met with J at Jacques Torres (chocolate shop) where I got a Belgian Waffle with three scoops of amazing ice cream: Wicked (spicy chocolate), Vanilla Rum Caramel and JT Signature chocolate chip along with toppings of even more chocolate, and drizzled caramel! So damn good...
Monday night I met with W and her twin boys to talk about babysitting in the fall. They were all nice and I took a liking to HB, who was very talkative, friendly and cute. His brother wasn't as personable; more into reading and sports but that's okay. I think I'll be babysitting R's adopted Chinese daughter next month but haven't gotten all the details yet so we'll see.
After that, I headed to Bryant Park for the outdoor film screening. The lawn was closed off, but plenty of seats along the side and I joined MJ, C, CS and met a bunch of other cool people. It was nice to meet everyone-- They all seemed fun and easy to talk with. Plus, there were plenty of snacks which is always welcome.
We all just chilled, and conversated until the movie, Breaking Away started at 9p. There was a Loony Toon short as a prelude which was cute. The movie itself was pretty good. I enjoyed watching it, and was happy with the ending.
Really needed to use the restroom afterwards and found out that Bryant Park has a really nice public restroom. There were fresh flowers, and opera music playing!
Anyway, walked to the subway with G who does marketing for ABC so maybe have the chance of getting in there... G said it'd be fun to work with me. He seems to be a really good guy.
So, today at my internship I spent the morning working on Food & Beverage, then the afternoon started a media project which was cool because that's the department I'm more interested in.
This evening I got to see a passionate roaming performance of Shakespeare's "King Lear" at Battery Park that started at Castle Clinton Memorial. I loved it! The first scene was inside the castle walls, and really set the scene. Then, we continued all around the park and got to watch the amazing acting, the sunset, and later the fireflies flickering around. It was delightful.
