A Phone Call
kitten-kissed on April 04, 2008 at 4:40 p.m.

It's amazing how one little phone call can make me so happy. Basically, I had written MS off because he wasn't trying to stay in contact with me so I actually messaged him first. He then asked if he could call in an hour and never did. After that, I wasn't going to get in contact first again. He didn't call the whole week so I just figured he was like all those other guys. However, last night I heard from him. It's true that he had been busy but I'm so glad he decided to call. He actually told me he did call back last week. My phone didn't record it though; I was probably underground.

Anyway, we ended up talking for over an hour. I love that he's so open and easy to get to know. And I feel pretty comfortable teasing him which is always a plus. I like that he shares his life with me and we will be going ice skating (along with DS) over the weekend. Really looking forward to it; I'm hoping that I don't fall though because it's been awhile since I last skated.

MS told me he had a mega-smile and that his weekend just got a whole lot better. He also said he can't wait and is looking forward to getting together. How sweet is that. I'm so glad that I got to speak with him and to know that he wasn't actually avoiding me.

Today I met up with MS and E at the Guggenheim where there was a Cai Guo-Qiang (meaning "I want to believe) exhibit that was really quite incredible. There were tigers with many arrows stuck into them, a boat with arrows, life size sculptures. Also, wolves in a pack starting off on the ground and rising in groups then tumbling down. There were also many drawings "made from igniting gunpowder and fuses and his site-specific pyrotechnic displays called 'explosion events' propose the processes of destruction and transformation as fundamental to life, hence creativity."

At the Guggenheim Museum, I noticed a lot of hot young blue eyed boys wandering around, but most of the them seem to be European tourists with their girlfriend or family. Unfortunately.

After exploring the museum, we walked a bit to find a nice little cafe bakery. I got a Neopolitan with white chocolate and chocolate swirls on top and it was very flaky and creamy. I was only able to eat less than 1/4 so I'm saving the rest. Before going to West 4th to meet up with DV, I got some tangerines and I really hope they're juicy sweet delicious.

Hmm, later on I'm going to get myself a chicken (and maybe combine it with lamb if there's that option) pita sandwich from one of those food stands because they're cheap, filling and very tasty. I also want to see Stop Loss, which is about "A veteran soldier returns from his completed tour of duty in Iraq, only to find his life turned upside down when he is arbitrarily ordered to return to field duty by the Army."
