*living my dream life*
Scary
kitten-kissed on October 23, 2009 at 1:23 a.m.

I woke up to heart palpitations(beating incredibly fast) and sharp pains, as well as numbing in my left arm. I kind of tried to let it ride out until my heart rate slowed down, but I was still feeling pain so I dialed 911 and the ambulance came really quickly. The lady took my vitals (heart rate was 124 and this is after it had slowed down), asked some questions and wanted to take me in just to make sure everything was okay.

Hospital at Booth and Main was only 5 minutes away. They wheeled me in, and didn't take long to get a room. One of the nurses did an EKG which came out fine, then the doctor came in to speak with me. He got a sample, and had to wait for them to test whether I was pregnant so that they could x-ray my chest. During this time I just slept. More waiting after the x-rays, which turned out normal so they think it was stress/anxiety that caused this.

Went back to my apartment and just relaxed, slept for quite awhile. Still went out this evening to see the original Psycho with DH, BS, S, B and one other gal at Clearview Chelsea Cinemas. I knew I was in for a treat, because it's my first time seeing it and it's on the big screen. Plus, Hedda Lettuce was hosting and she's hilarious! I loved her little stories, and she would make little comments during certain parts of the movie-- Was pretty great.

So what did I think of Psycho? It's brilliantly directed, and I found it be very interesting, engaging, weird, twisty especially the end. I didn't see that coming! The plot- little twists and turns throughout were good. I enjoyed the beginning- Especially the yummyness of the shirtless man! And was very intrigued watching the gal trying to get to her destination without being found out. Then the kinda cute police officer, funny car salesman, creepyish (but with boyish good looks of the man at the Hotel.

I wasn't all that frightened during the famous shower murder scene, but I definitely felt remorse that our heroine was killed. I kept thinking, she can't really be dead. There were some scenes toward the end that were much scarier.

We went to Patsy's Pizzeria afterwards to discuss the film, and others (most I hadn't seen or heard of, but they all sounded pretty interesting/intense). And enjoyed some very delicious pepperoni pizza.

Anyway, I should probably go to bed now-ish to get enough rest from the excitement of the day. Friday I have plans throughout. I'll be interviewing ET from Ruder Finn about ethics (for my thesis), having lunch at L'Ecole courtesy of NYU Career Center to learn about lunch interviews. Then I'm meeting up with SS, going to see Saw VI and probably something after that.

PS It was such a beautiful, gloriously warm autumn day when I walked out... Hope the weather can stay like that a little bit longer!
