Being the only girl rocks! Friday night I hung out with different groups of guys throughout. It all started after my practicum meeting... Met DS at Union Square, and we had about an hour to catch up about the last week. I always love meeting up with DS. I can talk about almost anything with him.
Afterwards, headed to Artichoke Basille's Pizzeria and met with JN, G, and M for a delightful pizza dinner (standing room only). I decided on the margarita pizza, but G saved some of the spinach and artichoke slice for me-- That was so considerate! It was my idea to do dessert after. We were going to our default, Red Mango but then I mentioned boba and we all wanted that so made our way to Saint's Alp at Saint Marks (in the center of NYU). We made a pit stop at Chickalicious and got some chocolate chip cookies and a cupcake. Mmmm! Then kept on for boba, and had to wait a bit to be seated but that was fine... We had plenty to talk about. I got the Mixed Berry Sorbet with tapioca pearls. Delicious!
Everyone had a different place to go afterwards. I was off to Highbar to meet with MB and others. I love that venue, and it's on the penthouse level so there's an amazing view! I got there and ran into S, MC, A (this is a guy I met briefly at Erik's New Year's Eve party, and he's awesome! He called me vivacious, high energy, fun and I love being complimented! Also, I mentioned that I need to see He's Just Not That Into You and since my girlfriends haven't called me back, I'm planning to see it with him! It shall be so much fun =), and met a bunch of others.
I absolutely love being the only girl, because I get all the attention... Plus I get to dance with many, which is always fun. After awhile of flitting around, posing for photos, and trying to talk to and meet everyone, I sat down with S and talked to him one on one for awhile. He's a makeup artist for Bloomingdale's, and an aspiring actor. Pretty interesting. I enjoyed conversating with him.
Since Highbar closes at 2a, we decided to go to Country Club afterwards. About 7 of us piled in the car to get there, and I end up on S's lap, which was incredibly comfortable. Anyway, we got to the place, and it pretty much sucked. There was almost nobody there, and nothing was happening, so I decided to leave with S (without saying goodbye to anyone...Oops)
We walked for a little bit found Good Stuff Diner so went there for a bite to eat. I expected that S would pay for it (in past experiences, the guy has always always always paid, so I got more than I would've-- The California burger and a fruit shake. However, when the check paid, he told me how much I owed. Wow, I was pissed but didn't show it... I mean how could I? I shouldn't have expected him to pay, though that's what should've happened.
So, headed to the subway station next and I ended up on his lap again. I was planning to go back to my place, but ended up staying on the train and going to his place. Damn. I messed up... I really wanted to stick with my resolution to not go back to random guys' apartments. I guess it's not going to work everytime, but I really shouldn't have done that!
Next morning, I walk to the subway station by myself (Oh my gosh, what a royal asshole. Won't be seeing him again... Why do I keep putting myself in the same stupid position?!?)
So I had to get to Delancey & Essex by 10a, which I achieved to meet with MH, S and a couple of others to go to Winter Jam at East River Park -- A snowy event with snowshoeing, skiing, tubing, live music, rock climbing, etc. I actually met a nice guy through this event... He's D from Ukraine, decent looking -- Green eyes and blond hair, a bit of an accent, and a computer programmer. I basically walked and talked with him the whole day. I could tell he was a gentleman, and we discussed so many things-- It was a pleasure getting to know him.
Winter Jam was pretty crowded, so we spent most of the day in lines waiting to do what we wanted. I did the snowshoeing, and D was there to help me keep my balance and pick me up after I fell (in the snow!) We had a snowball fight, which was so awesome. After that, we went to the booths for free coupons, stickers, CD's and such. D and I also got some sweet samples of juice, apples and my favorite: Maple lollypops!
MH and S left us around 3:30p, and D actually spent the rest of the afternoon keeping me company before my dinner. We walked all the way back to the Lower East Side, stopped by a bar for a drink, went to the park to go on the swings-- my favorite (and thought the dad swinging his kids was really fine-- I know, I'm bad! And he was speaking a different language, so I wanted to know where I was from and D asked for me... He was Greek-- WOW, I like Greek men!)
After that, walked a short distance to a little park, but accidentally fell down while crossing the street. Sigh. Anyway, D was there to help me along, and since it was colder out, headed to the Subway for the remainder of the time before I needed to go to Soba Koh for dinner. He got me a mini double chocolate cookie-- Amazing!
Anyway, will definitely be seeing D another time, and I took a short walk to Soba Koh to meet with N, C, Y, A, and HW. It was a great deal: 4 course meal for about $20... We got salad, crab egg custard (so good!), shrimp/eel and vegetable tempura, and I chose the cold soba noodles-- Mmm, all so delicious! I had a great time with everyone, and got along with HW (the only other girl). She's from Cali as well, so we had a lot in common. It was so easy to talk to her as well. Yay!
We went to Saint's Alp after the meal, and everyone ordered honey tea (except me, because I'm poor). They shared with me. Sweet! Then stopped by an Asian supermarket, and HW showed me the hair dye that will actually work in turning my hair brownish. She said she'll do it for me next week.
After that, three of us(including HW) went up to Elevate, a little club in Midtown West. We got there early, so not much going on. We sat for awhile, talked amongst ourselves, then I noticed S (the guy from last night, the guy I went back with!) was in the club. Shit, out of all the places... I realized that I really didn't want to talk to him again, so I basically pretended that I didn't see him though I'm sure he spotted me... But, it's not like he came up to talk to me either, so whatever.
I just danced up a storm with HW, then made eyes (with blue eyes) with a white boy nearby, but he didn't come closer to dance with me so I finally just stepped down and started dancing by him, sidling up next to him and it worked. He was a good dancer, but he told me he had to go because he has a lot going on tomorrow. He then said I could go back with him, which of course I didn't do... Though here's a question, if I did go back with him, we'd be awake for the next three hours, at least so why couldn't he just stay? Oh well. I was sad to see him go though...
After awhile, HW and I found that downstairs was a better party. The walls were glittery, and the music was 1000x better. However, I didn't stay out really late (like I usually do), because my feet were hurting and I wanted to get back home since I hadn't been for the past two days... Whooo, what a wild weekend so far!
