Unproductive

Wow, today was supposed to be productive. I was all set to work on the essay about Avon and actually left my apartment early to go to the NYU computer lab, thinking if I were at a school setting, I'd get more done. Unfortunately, however, I still have not gotten all the information I need for the Avon project because the person I'm interviewing is totally inaccessible. I got in contact with her weeks in advance and emailed/called her various times to say I need the information now and today she finally just told me to call her so she can answer the questions via phone. When I tried many times through the day to reach her, it always went to voice mail. So frustrating! I hope that I can get her tomorrow and am reaching out to VP of Corporate Communication as well. Once I get all the answers, it'll be easy to put together a Power Point presentation and finish the essay.

Another beautiful day so I spent part of it sitting around at Bryant Park, just taking everything in.

I had an appointment to see the adviser for the PR program. We talked for almost an hour and it was pretty good. I've decided that my concentration will be Management and I'll be taking 4-5 courses in the fall. Two of the classes will be on Saturday which to me is wholly unorthodox, but they're mandatory and always on a Saturday. What sucks is I still can't enroll because NYU doesn't think I've gotten all my shots. I actually have and now am just waiting for a copy of my immunization record to show them. Anyway, something interesting was that Doorley (adviser) sees me as a being introverted which I guess I am in a class setting... He did say that my eyes sparkle when I talk about entertainment/fashion (the fields I want to get into) and that he thinks I'll do well in the program and beyond.

Not long after the meeting there was Managing PR & Corporate Communication Function and the first half of the class presented. I'll be doing mine next week which is a very good feeling. It was good to see them because gave me ideas on how to structure the Power Point, etc.

MS met me after class but he was mad tired from the day of working. And tomorrow was supposed to be his chill day, but he's got four clients to attend to and they're all in completely different places. And after that he's pretty much booked for the next couple of days so sucks to be him. We went to eat at Applebee's and it was pretty good conversation but he was a bit on edge from being overworked and not getting enough sleep. He even said himself: "I'm not charming when I'm tired." I still felt comforted by being close to him though and holding hands/linking arms. And when I called him to say goodnight he apologized for being a little cranky and rude. Aw, and he wasn't acting that badly. I do much prefer him when he's well rested and alert though...
