Last night I met up with DB (a gal from Switzerland) from Theory, History and Practice class to discuss our duo presentation project... Our topic is Jamie Lynn Spears (Brit's little sister) and we're pretty hyped about that. We went to a nice cafe type place near Washington Square -- Really nice. I got a fruit custard tart that was just so good! Anyway, we talked about the project a little, bouncing around some ideas then started talking about our lives, travels, past jobs, boys and so on. DB is really sweet and we're planning to go out, maybe do some shopping so that should be great.
I then went to a HKSA (Hong Kong) general meeting and met some Californians, native New Yorkers and Australians so that was pretty sweet. We had delicious Chinese food then watched a movie about the gambling god. It was quite entertaining and hilarious.
Afterwards, a bunch of us went to a karaoke bar in Chinatown. We got a room to ourselves and sang some foreign songs, but a lot of American ones as well. Especially those by the Backstreet Boys, Aerosmith, Sean Kingston, Britney Spears, Mandy Moore, etc. It was a lot of fun and then decided to go to Korea-town (although, it's only one street) We were hungry so ate at a Korean BBQ and ordered family style. Loads of side dishes and I also enjoyed the veggie/green onion pancake and of course the meat: Pork spare ribs then bulgogi.
It was close to morning by the time we left and I walked back with the Aussies to their dorm and stayed at one of the apt's because she had an extra bed. I was glad I didn't have to go all the way back to Flushing to get my rest. Had a pretty good time...
