*living my dream life*
Week of Hanging

I made Monday night "Gossip Girl" night. I finished watching the last couple episodes from the first season, and was totally appalled about what happened betwee the Serena-Dan-Georgina circle. Especially when Dan said "Maybe I want to break up with you" when I feel that Serena had more of a reason to say that. As Serena said, "Here we are again. I'm not who you think I am." Which is true, partly because he puts her on a pedestal, has this image of her I guess. He's kind of judgmental actually.

Tuesday I met with the police officer and we ate at Caliente (Mexican food) in the Village. It was all right. My dish was pretty good: Different cheeses melted together on top of chicken fajita bits which came with tortillas to wrap in. The nachos were different, but pretty good with pulled chicken and mini tacos were not that great.

I somehow lost my cute little black shrug... A and I left the restaurant, and I realized I had left it there so we went back to pick it up and I had it in my hands but then we entered his car and we went up to 34th where I was going to meet RS for a movie. When I left the car, the jacket was no longer in my hands, and was nowhere to be found! Weird.

Anyway, I met with RS and he had already gotten tickets for Funny People with Adam Sandler, Leslie Mann etc. We got popcorn (yum) and icees then got seats in the very back and chatted through commercials and previews and enjoyed the movie. It was quite long, but kept my attention pretty well throughout. It was funny and crazy.

Wednesday night I hung out at the Upper West Side with TP, MP and a bunch of friends. We had cupcakes, chip mix, grapes, garlic knots and later banana chocolate bread. Yea, weird menu but pretty yummy nonetheless. We covered quite a range of topics: Spirituality, the Bible, politics, different countries, best places to live, New York life, and lots of funny moments, laughter, giggling... Good times!

Afterwards, went with RS, PC and JJ down to 14th St area and I suggested Saint's Alp Teahouse for bubble tea and food but they were closing so I just got a butterscotch boba drink and we made our way to nearby Artichoke Pizza. It's quite a popular place-- Always a line, but damn worth it! Huge slice of artichoke spinach pizza, all warm and fresh-- Delicious!

Wednesday I enjoyed the best dessert for under $2 from Beard Papa's. It's the puff pastry eclair coated with chocolate and has vanilla cream filling. It was just divine, delectable!

Later in the day, I had dinner at Otto in the Village, one of Mario Battali's casual dining restaurants. It was pretty nice. I knew I wanted pasta and was trying to choose from a few so asked the waiter and he suggested the cabanora which had pancetta, black pepper, scallions and egg. It was really rich and creamy, so next time I want to try the sweet sausage one.

For dessert, MZ and A shared which was nice. I got to try the famous olive oil gelato, which sounded very weird but it was actually quite good. It was incredibly smooth and creamy, tasted lightly of olive oil and vanilla-y. And there were strawberries, lemon cream, pineapple ice, green, orange around it... Lovely looking.

Afterwards, hung out with a friend at the Washington Sq fountain which was nice. I absolutely love that park, and feeling the slight spray of fountain water, being out in the crisp sweet night air...
