Amazing. It's almost December and the weather's still stunning: All clear bright blue skies and sunny climes.
This morning I had a conference call with the Public Relations advisor and he told me the book list, put in contact with a couple of successful students in the program (in to total there are 120 students) and said that someday I'll probaby be rich someday so remember him. I sure hope his prediction turns out to be true!
So the classes I will be taking are as follows: 1) Theory, History and Practice; 2) Public Relations Writing; 3) Managing Media Relations; and 4) Managing PR and Corporate Communications Function. They sound pretty good to me and I bought 3 little writing books, but the other two are bigger and even the used copies cost over $50 so I'm waiting on those at the moment.
I also called some people on NYU's off campus housing list. I had to leave messages for most of the people and one girl said she doesn't have an opening right now but I can try again later. She seemed kind of shady though so I don't know. And later, Fred called back and it seems like he's in a nice place close to NYU but he's an older man and I would much prefer to live with other students etc. I'll have to keep searching.
I talked with two of my friends online for awhile before I had to meet RR to see August Rush. I loved catching up with both of them, esp KL because she's so far away so I don't get to see her much at all.
The movie was excellent. The actor who played Louis was oh so gorgeous! Those eyes and that face! He reminded me of someone, but I can't place my finger on who... Anyway he had an Irish accent and beautiful singing voice if it was really him. He played such as soulful romantic role. And Keri Russell did well as the pretty and passionate mother. August Rush was sweet, endearing and a very talented prodigy musician. It was cool how the story unfolded and all the music it it was just awe-inspiring.
After that I went to see the dentist and it was about time because I hadn't seen one for over a year. It didn't take too long though and I came away with no cavities. Yes!
I stopped by the 7-11 after and got myself sour cream and onion chips and mini powdered sugar donuts. At the Dollar Tree I picked ou pomegranate and fig shower wash-- It smells very pink and girlie, but good.
Then, my mom and I visited a family friend on the way home. She shared her homemade banana nut bread which was yummy and moist.
