Before class, I stopped by the Commuter Lounge for a carnival they were putting on. I got to eat cotton candy, chips, and have my face painted! It turned out to be really gorgeous: A light blue and pink butterfly and all glittery! I wore it the whole night, and it was a big hit.
After having champagne and cookies during the last Integrated Marketing Communication class, I headed a few blocks away to the K-Lounge, the second level at Bombay Palace. The K actually stands for "kamasutra." It was a very pretty place. Red and white couch seats, dance floor in the center, mirrors, mock up of Taj Mahal, stone cubes with kamasutra positions carved in, and the back room was really cushy and lovely as well.
I met up with F and some of his friends. I had a good time talking with A and MM. They were cool guys. Also, danced up a storm to Latin infused music, and later more mainstream party dance tunes, like the remixed "Hips Don't Lie." We stayed til around closing time, then walked around Times Square area.
MM accompanied me all the way to 42nd street. We made a pit stop at the new TKTS center, with all the red steps for some photos then ran into a cute police officer that MM happened to know! Anyway, kept walking and came across one of those artists who draws lifelike portraits, and he gave me a very discounted price so I decided to have one done. I had him include the butterfly face paint as well so I could remember the design. He did a pretty great job, though I feel like he made me look younger than I actually am. Still, awesome artistry.
It was really nice of MM to stay with me and patiently wait as the artist drew me. I'm glad I got to meet him. All in all, a fun evening!
